Sri Shivendra Pratap, IAS Assumes Charge as Joint Managing Director of Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited

 

 

Sri Shivendra Pratap, IAS, formally assumed charge as the Joint Managing Director of Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited at Metro Rail Bhavan, Begumpet, on 26 February 2026. His appointment marks a significant step in strengthening the leadership of one of India’s most dynamic urban mobility networks.

 

Prior to this role, Sri Shivendra Pratap served as the Additional Collector of Mahabubnagar district, where he was recognized for his administrative leadership and public service. On assuming office, he met with the Managing Director of HMRL, Sri Sarfaraz Ahmad, who extended his warm wishes and expressed confidence in his ability to contribute meaningfully to the continued growth and operational excellence of the organization.

 

Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited remains central to delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation across the city. With Sri Shivendra Pratap taking on the role of Joint Managing Director, the organization is poised to further enhance its commitment to service quality, innovation, and commuter experience, reinforcing its mission to keep Hyderabad moving forward.
