Pass Will Be Integrated with Additional Public Transport Facilities: Deputy Chief Minister
To further popularize the newly launched Metro-RTC common pass facility,
Deputy Chief Minister Sri Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, along with several ministers,
traveled today using the pass.
They purchased the pass and boarded the Metro Rail from Begumpet to Jubilee Hills
Check Post station. From there, using the same pass, the ministers and public
representatives continued their journey by TGSRTC bus up to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat.
During the trip, the Deputy Chief Minister and ministers interacted with passengers
at metro stations to gather their views on public transport and metro services.
Sri Bhatti Vikramarka noted that the introduction of daily and monthly common passes
has received a positive public response.
He added that in the future, this facility would be integrated with autos and other
public transport systems, ensuring citizens can reach their destinations more conveniently.
Transport Minister Sri Ponnam Prabhakar emphasized that the common pass allows seamless
travel across the city without any hassle. He assured that the service will be expanded
further in the coming days and announced that pass fares will be reviewed based on
public opinion.
Labour and Employment Minister Sri Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy and Minority Welfare Minister
Sri Mohammad Azharuddin also spoke.
