To ensure better services for metro passengers, Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) Additional Managing Director Mr. B. Ajith Reddy instructed officials to take necessary measures. Mr. Ajith Reddy inspected Hyderabad Metro stations and nearby street-level facilities on July 27th, 2026. He travelled by metro from Begumpet Station to Raidurg Metro Station, visiting platforms and concourses at Begumpet, Ameerpet, and Raidurg stations. He interacted with metro engineers and officials of Keolis, the operations partner, to understand the facilities being provided to passengers.
He emphasized that parking spaces at street level must be utilized more efficiently. After inspecting parking facilities at Begumpet, Ameerpet, and Raidurg stations, he suggested improvements. He also reviewed cleanliness and sanitation practices near the stations. Mr. Ajith Reddy pointed out that central meridian maintenance between pillars needs further improvement and expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of the agencies responsible. He directed officials not to compromise on cleanliness or quality of work.
At Raidurg Metro station, the Additional Managing Director Mr. Ajith Reddy inspected the skywalk, the connecting routes from the metro to IT companies, and the movement of passengers at the Mindspace junction. He instructed officials to ensure more systematic arrangements during peak hours. He also reviewed the commercial spaces located beneath the metro stations. Emphasizing passenger convenience and safety, he directed that providing a comfortable and secure travel experience should remain the highest priority.
The Additional MD instructed officials to prepare station-specific plans to further enhance facilities. As a pilot initiative, ten metro stations will be selected for immediate development. He stated that he would continue to inspect other stations in phases to monitor passenger amenities. During his visit, he reviewed parking arrangements, sanitation conditions, and security measures.
HMRL Chief Engineer Mr. Y. Sayapa Reddy, Executive Engineer Mr. K. Shyam Mohan, General Manager (Security) Mr. Srinath Reddy, DSPs Mr Jagannath Reddy, Mr Siva Rami Reddy and other officers accompanied him during the inspection.
