HMRL Additional MD Sri Ajith Reddy Visits Uppal Metro Depot and reviews Metro Operations

 

The Additional Managing Director of Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL), Sri B. Ajith Reddy, visited the Uppal Metro Depot on Tuesday, July 7th to review the operational, maintenance, and safety systems of the Hyderabad Metro Rail network.  

During the visit, he inspected the Operations Control Centre (OCC) and the Command Control Centre (CCC), where he was briefed on real-time train operations, signalling systems, security surveillance, emergency response mechanisms, and overall network management. He also held a review meeting with senior officials of L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad (L&TMRHL) and the Keolis team, including Sri K.V.B. Reddy and other senior representatives, along with HMRL officials.  

The L&TMRHL and Keolis teams made a comprehensive presentation on Hyderabad Metro Rail operations, covering train operations, passenger services, maintenance systems, operational control, safety protocols, depot facilities, and the financial aspects of metro operations. The Additional Managing Director reviewed the presentations and interacted with the officials on various operational and management aspects.  

As part of the visit, Sri B. Ajith Reddy inspected the Maintenance Workshop and the Wheel Lathe Workshop (Wheel Garage) to gain first-hand knowledge of the maintenance practices adopted for rolling stock and other critical infrastructure. He appreciated the maintenance standards and operational efficiency maintained by the teams. 

The visit was attended by senior HMRL officers including Sri D.V.S. Raju, Chief Electrical Engineer; Sri S.K. Das, Chief Signal & Telecommunication Engineer; Sri Anand Mohan, Chief Project Manager; Sri Sayapa Reddy, Chief Engineer (FAC); and Sri Srinath Reddy, General Manager (Security).
