Nampally’s Smart Parking Complex Powers Hyderabad’s Integrated Mobility Future

Hyderabad is about to park smarter, faster, and better. In a major leap toward technology-driven urban mobility, the fully automated Multi-Level Parking Complex at Nampally is set to transform how the city manages parking, connectivity, and commuter access.

Inaugurated by Hon’ble Transport Minister Sri Ponnam Prabhakar garu on January 31st, 2026 the facility marks a major milestone in creating organized parking and smoother access in one of Hyderabad’s busiest transit zones. Developed under the supervision of Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd (HMRL), the project reflects the city’s commitment to building world-class infrastructure aligned with Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Revanth Reddy’s vision for future-ready urban mobility.

Strategically located near Nampally Railway Station and Assembly Metro Station, the complex strengthens last-mile connectivity and supports Hyderabad Metro’s role in reducing congestion and enabling faster, more efficient travel across the city.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Hon’ble Minister for Public Enterprises and Minorities Welfare Mr. Mohammad Azharuddin, GHMC Mayor Smt. Vijayalakshmi R. Gadwal, GHMC Deputy Mayor Smt. Mote Srilatha Shobhan Reddy, Advisor to the State Government on Urban Transport Sri NVS Reddy, Jambagh Corporator Sri Rakesh Jaiswal, and other dignitaries. PPP project developers Novum Nampally Parking Pvt. Ltd., represented by Managing Director Dr. K. Harikishan Reddy and Smt. Bhavana Reddy, showcased the advanced facilities within the complex.

Flagship Model for Technology-Driven Urban Infrastructure

Developed on 2,000 square yards of HMRL land under a Public Private Partnership model, the project has been executed by Novum with private investment of ₹102 crore and a 50-year concession period. It stands as a flagship example of how public-private collaboration can accelerate the delivery of smart infrastructure.

More than a parking facility, the complex is a mobility solution designed to support Hyderabad’s rapid growth while improving commuter convenience and traffic efficiency.

India’s First Fully Automated Pallet-Free Parking System

Powered by Germany’s advanced Palis puzzle-parking technology, the Nampally facility introduces India’s first fully automated, pallet-free parking system, placing Hyderabad among global leaders in smart mobility innovation.

The structure features:

  • 15 floors, including 3 basement levels and 7 automated parking levels
  • Capacity for 250 cars and 200 two-wheelers
  • 5 commercial floors, including cinema theatres
  • A city-viewing gallery on the 11th floor

The system operates with zero human intervention. Commuters receive a QR-coded smart card, park on a turntable, and the automated system scans, classifies, and safely stores the vehicle. When returning, a simple card swipe retrieves the vehicle automatically, ready for exit.

This eliminates parking delays, reduces roadside congestion, and ensures a faster, seamless experience.

Strengthening Hyderabad Metro and Multimodal Connectivity

The parking complex plays a critical role in enhancing Hyderabad Metro’s effectiveness by enabling seamless park-and-move access. Commuters can park securely and transition directly to metro rail, reducing dependence on road travel and supporting faster urban mobility.

By integrating automated parking with metro and railway access, the facility creates a unified mobility hub that improves connectivity, reduces congestion, and enhances commuter flow across the transport network.

Designed for Accessibility, Efficiency, and Commuter Comfort

The facility has been designed with accessibility and ease of use at its core. The fully automated system ensures a safe, convenient experience for elderly commuters, women, and differently-abled users.

By moving parking into structured vertical infrastructure, the project frees up valuable road space, improves traffic circulation, and enhances accessibility in one of Hyderabad’s most active corridors.

A New Benchmark for Smart Urban Mobility

The Nampally Automated Multi-Level Parking Complex reflects Hyderabad’s evolution into a smarter, more connected global city. Developed under Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd’s leadership and enabled through strong public-private collaboration, it strengthens metro connectivity, improves urban efficiency, and delivers a modern commuter experience.

This is more than a parking facility. It is a mobility enabler that brings together infrastructure, technology, and transit to support a faster, more organized, and commuter-friendly Hyderabad.
