The epidemic scourge of COVID-19 has been taking its toll on health, economy and our overall society. The occurrence of the first wave of COVID-19 in India has involved radical measures by the government which includes a wide range of precautionary steps, containment measures and other comprehensive strategies to deal with this pandemic that has been striking with a deadly blow. Now, the second wave has struck, posing a never seen before challenge for the humanity in general and India in particular in the modern times.
Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited is following all necessary precautions and guidelines, offering our hand as a responsible player towards a safer and pandemic free society. We are conducting regular awareness exercises and safety drills for our staff, who are our first line of interaction with commuters every day. Despite the outbreak of this pandemic, we are doing our best to operate metro rail services to avoid inconvenience and at the same time we are committed to taking all foolproof measures to make sure that the commuters are safe. In this regard, we continue to strengthen and regularly follow various measures including cleaning the touch surface areas, coaches, escalators and elevators for preventing any possible outbreak of the Corona Virus through the metro coaches and stations. This includes relaying regular announcements about do’s and don’ts etc.
HMRL will leave no stone unturned to dedicate all the resources to raise awareness and also to implement government mandated strategies to keep the metro infrastructure sterile at all time. We are committed to do everything necessary to see that we tide over the second wave of this pandemic and emerge as a much stronger nation and healthier society.
